Doyle Gable, 86, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Sallisaw. He was born May 29, 1931 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the son of Louie Clyde Gable and Juanita (Foreman) Gable. He was married to Dorothy Perkins in 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Gable was the section chief in the Propulsion Management Division, Directorate of Materiel Management, retiring after 37 years of combined military and civilian federal service. Mr. Gable retired in 1977 from 22 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. His last military assignment was with the 2953rd Combat Logistics Squadron at Tinker AFB. Decorations received in his military career included the Bronze Star Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Meritorious Service Medal. In March 1977, Mr. Gable began his civilian federal career as an engine equipment specialist trainee in the Propulsion Management Division. After several promotions, Mr. Gable was assigned March 1989 to his last position as chief of the TF30/TF41 Engine and Test Correlation Units. Mr. Gable enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and spending time at the lake.

Graveside service will be Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11 am at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Thursday from 1 - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
