Funeral Service for Anona Simpson, 77, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on September 4, 1942 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Clara Eunice Parker and Everett T. Long and passed away on December 26, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to William C. Simpson on July 30, 1984 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was a hairdresser and a member of New Vision Ministries.

Survivors are:

husband: Bill of the home;

2 sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Renee Rogers of Sallisaw, OK and Tom and Wanda Rogers of Sallisaw, OK;

1 step daughter: Brenna O’Shaughnessy of Philidelphia, PA;

1 step son: Brian Simpson of Deming, NM;

11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren;

3 brothers: Brian Long of Sallisaw, OK, Ronnie and Phyllis Long of Sallisaw, OK and Mike Long of Geary, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Ed, Bob and Bill Long; and 1 sister-in-law, Juanita Long.

Active Pallbearers will be Blake Rogers, Ryan Rogers, Shawn Rogers, Trey Rogers, Chris Poindexter, Mike Tucker and Hunter Mathis.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Long, Mike Long, Ronnie Long and Terry Pendergrass.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Saturday, 2 PM – 8 PM Sunday and 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Monday.
