Funeral Service for Archie Lee Girty, 75, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Grimmett Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 3, 1945 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Bessie (Hicks) Girty and Frank Girty and passed away on June 12, 2020 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was married to Betty Lorene (Johnson) Girty on October 9, 1967 in Marble City, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2016. He was a mason and brick layer and of the Christian faith.

Survivors are:

3 daughters: Tina Girty of Vian, OK, Kathy Nguyen of Sallisaw, OK and Amy McWaters of Vian, OK;

7 grandchildren: Earvin Johnson, Lyndsay Blackbird, Angie McGarrah, Randy Adair, Baylee Mills, Sydney Brunk and Taylor McWaters;

sister: Wynona Christie of Vian, OK;

brother: Mike Girty of Sallisaw, OK;

brother-in-law: William Webster of Vian, OK;

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and three brothers, Monroe, Robert and John Girty.

Active Pallbearers will be Billy Nguyen, Sherwin Johnson, William McWaters, Baylee Mills, Randy Adair and Earvin Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be William Christie, Justin Blackbird and George Flute.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Thursday.
