Funeral service for Art Pirrie, 57 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on February 3, 1965 in Alhambra, California to Arla Letha (Passno) Pirrie and Thomas Stewart Pirrie and passed away on November 30, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Elizabeth Ann (Ritchey) Pirrie on August 5, 1995 in Redlands, California. Mr. Pirrie was a fourth generation truck driver and worked for Fed Ex Freight for over 25 years. He enjoyed many things throughout his life including motorcycle riding, bowling, shooting and especially truck driving. He was a proud follower of the OU Sooners, a Republican, but above all else he was a loving family man.
Survivors are wife, Elizabeth of the home;
two daughters, Megan Sandlin and Jake of Blackgum community, OK and Ashley Pirrie of Vian, OK;
five grandchildren, Luke, Thomas, Rachel and John Riley Sandlin, Lyndon Risley and one on the way;
mother, Arla Pirrie of Vian, OK;
one brother, Tommy Pirrie of Vian, OK;
aunt, Bonnie Parker of Apple Valley, CA;
cousins, Jennifer Casey and Debbie Silver of Missouri;
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad; grandparents, Art and Thelma Passno and Marjorie and Ferguson Pirrie; aunt, Mona Hulse and uncle, Timothy Pirrie.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Hohrman, Roger Gibbs, Kevin Peasley, Justin Schambron, Roger Lucas and Chad Smith.
Viewing will be 10 am – 6 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 3 – 5 pm Sunday.
