Cremation for Audrey Ann (Horn) Leep, 89 of Vian, Oklahoma is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Audrey fell asleep in death on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Vian. She passed away in the house built by her husband, Arthur Lee, on the same dirt road she was born on March 29, 1932. It wasn’t always easy down the old dirt road, but Audrey always had a positive outlook on life and faced it with determination and a smile.

Sunlight made Audrey’s bedroom bright as her daughters, Verna and Jerie, and her niece, Kim shared stories, pictures and songs of her wonderful life lived. She was surrounded by love, her flowers, her beloved cat, Bungee and her dog, Little Dog. Audrey was known as a hard worer, and enjoyed gardening, vacations out west with husband and girls, and sharing stories of the trips she made to California in her younger days with her papa, mommy, brothers and sisters.

Ms. Audrey loved and appreciated all of her family and held dear her memories of growing up on a farm in Vian with her parents James Burgess Horn and Lula (Davis) Horn, her three brothers Dallas, Doyle and Bill Horn, and her sisters Elma Dean White, Cuba Kennedy, Melcena Barenberg and Sue Ella McCoy. Family was most important to Audrey, including Davis and Horn cousins, brothers in law, sisters in law, mother in law Ethel Leep, and her numerous nieces and nephews. She was often referred to as “my favorite aunt.”

Audrey always tried to do what was right, good, and kind, and these qualities were reflected in her smile and laugh. She lived down that old pump station road for 89 years, and that road just won’t be the same without her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Arthur Leep; parents, James Burgess Horn and Lula Edna (Davis) Horn; 1 sister: Sue Ella McCoy and 3 brothers: Dallas Horn, Doyle Horn and Bill Horn.

Survivors are 2 daughters: Verna Leep of Thoreau, NM and Jerie Leep of Vian, OK;

3 sisters: Elma Dean White of Vian, OK, Cuba Kennedy of Vian, OK and Melcena Barenberg of Vian, OK;

numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Skaggs, Tim Kennedy, Richard Horn, Larry Horn, Richard Stone, Clenton McCoy, Kim McCoy Tyner, Melcena Horn, Wilma White and Becky White.
