Funeral Service for Audrey Smith, 89 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Hanson Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, in Plaquemine, Louisiana. She was born on September 20, 1935 to the late Timothy and Gayle Banning in Houston, Texas. Audrey led a beautiful, happy, and active life filled with family and friends. She attended local schools in Houston and later invested most of her career as a driver instructor and office clerk at Milby High School. She retired and moved to Muldrow, Oklahoma with her beloved husband Drayton Smith.

Her love and loyalty to family was something admired by all. Although known for her shy personality, Audrey’s zest for life and fun brought joy to every day and every person. She loved her family, cats, strawberry shakes, nature, scenic drives, sunrises and sunsets. Audrey will be remembered for her unconditional love, selflessness, and a smile that lit up any room.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Gayle; her husband, Drayton Smith; and her three siblings, Barbara, Tim, and Jackie.

Audrey will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her four children, Debbie McCullough, Diana Crowson, Christine Gonzalez, and Eddie Smith; her grandchildren, Monica, Israel, Tanya, Jessica, Elaina, Aly, Jason, Brightyn, and Kylee; and her many dearly loved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
