Ava 'Penny' D. (Williams) Peters

Memorial Service for Ava D. “Penny” Peters, 84, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on October 14, 1939 to Louise (Grinstead) Williams and Wylie Williams and passed away on February 16, 2024 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She was married to Harold Phillip Peters on August 15, 1959 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2021. She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and of the Christian faith. She ran all the time and was proud to have ran with the Olympic Torch in Texas in 1984. She enjoyed studying the Bible and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors are daughter, Dina Cox and Anthony of Muldrow, OK; son, Ken Peters and Jolie of Muldrow, OK; eight grandchildren, Ty Peters, Pike Peters, Krishina Allen, Kasha Giles, Wylie Peters, Vada Peters, DiRan Edwards and Hazel Peters; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janie Hill of Muldrow, OK; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Holly Peters; one son, Harold Phillip Peters II; one grandson, Blaze McMullan; her parents; and one sister, Bettye J. Temple.
