Graveside service for Barbara Elaine Pettit, 58 of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Redbird Smith Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Barbara Elaine Pettit was born on July 23, 1961 in Vian, Oklahoma to Carrie (Dirtseller) Locust and Joe Locust and passed away on October 28, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Troy Lee Pettit. Mrs. Pettit was a former Cherokee Casino worker and a member of Stokes Smith Ceremonial Grounds

Survivors are:

husband: Troy Lee Pettit;

2 sons: Rider Bush of Vian, OK and James Bush of Vian, OK;

1 daughter: LaRena Bush of Vian, OK;

5 grandchildren: Joe Bush, Woodrow Merchant, Brooklyn Soap, Kaison Lane Bush and Lennox Justin Bush;

2 sisters: Sarah Kirkland of Tulsa, OK and Marie Taulbee of Oklahoma City, OK;

3 brothers: Ryder Dirtseller of Sisseton, SD, John Dirtseller of Tulsa, OK and Daniel Locust of Vian, OK;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother: Richard Dirtseller.

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Tuesday and Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
