Funeral Service for Barbara Jean (Curtis) Freeman, 75, of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Barbara was born on July 16, 1946 in Waldron, Arkansas to Thelma Curtis and passed away on May 31, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Robert Gene Freeman on March 18, 1960 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was the co-owner and operator of Ma & Pa’s Thrift Shop and General Store. She loved canning, cooking, cleaning, her flowers and especially taking care of her family. She attended Eastside Holiness Church.

Survivors are:

husband, Robert Gene Freeman of the home;

her children, Debbie Peters and Mike of Roland, OK, Butch Freeman and Kathy of Sallisaw, OK, Ronnie Freeman of Roland, OK, Cynthia Whittaker of Roland, OK and Mike Freeman and Amber of Roland, OK;

16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren;

2 sisters, Martha McGuire and Mary Davis, both of Fort Smith, AR;

1 brother, Robert Mathis of Del City, OK;

and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Tony Freeman; one daughter, Angie Cannon; and her mother.

Active Pallbearers will be Aaron Peters, Joshua Peters, Jeremy Peters, Seth Peters, Mason Freeman, Donovan Freeman, Cass Freeman, Brandon Whittaker, Bradley Whittaker, Austin Freeman and Lastin Freeman.

Viewing will be 3 – 8 PM Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
