Barbara (Palmer) Paxton

Memorial Service for Barbara (Palmer) Paxton, 87 of Fort Smith, Arkansas will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. 

She was born on November 30, 1936 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Pearl (Pryor) Palmer and Duff Palmer and passed away on September 30, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Paul Gene Paxton on September 24, 1988 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2007. Mrs. Paxton was a nurse at Sparks Regional Medical Center.

Survivors are three sons, Johnny Roe Bedwell of Dallas, TX, Mark Bedwell of Van Buren, AR and Timothy Bedwell of Fort Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Brandon Bedwell, Sean Bedwell, Brent Bedwell and Brian Bedwell; and several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Dewayne Palmer, Janice Remy, Imogene Weese, Scharlene Bledsoe, Deloris Ballinger, Carmen "Pee Wee" Palmer, Bobby Jack Palmer, Robbie Dale Palmer and Jerry Dean Palmer.
