Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on August 18, 1925 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Nettie (Teeter) Smittle and Harry Smittle and passed away on October 6, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was married to Beaut “B.G.” Kuykendall on December 22, 1957 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Kuykendall was co-owner/operator of Kuykendall Grocery in Sallisaw, OK and a member of Sallisaw First United Methodist Church since November 9, 1958

Survivors are:

2 daughters and 1 son in law: Sherry and David Gean of Sallisaw, OK and Shelly Kuykendall of Sallisaw, OK;

1 grandson: Dakota Choate of Eureka Springs, AR;

1 brother and sister in law: Donald and Pat Smittle of Rogers, AR;

3 stepchildren: Doris O’Hara, Perry Kuykendall and Eloise Nelson;

several stepgrandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her twin brother: Billy Smittle

Active pallbearers will be A.O. Campbell, Doug Kuykendall, Bob Walden, Terry Smittle, Johnny Dewbre and Kevin Smittle.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Tuesday and 10 am – 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Memorials may be made to the hospice of your choice.
