Bettye J. (Williams) Temple

Bettye J. Williams Temple, 79 of Muldrow, Oklahoma was born on September 11, 1941 in Wabbaseka, Arkansas to Louise Grinstead Williams and Wylie Williams and passed away on July 17, 2021 in Roland, Oklahoma. She graduated from Muldrow High School in 1959 and attended Millie’s Beauty School where she received her cosmetology certification. Bettye continued her education to become a Master Instructor of Cosmetology. She retired after 50 years as a teacher and hairdresser. She was a believer in the Lord and will be missed by family and friends.

Survivors are:

1 grandson: Dennis Miles;

1 great grandson: Nicholas Miles;

2 sisters: Janie Hill of Muldrow, OK and Ava Peters of Muldrow, OK;

1 niece: Dina Cox of Muldrow, OK;

2 nephews: Ken Peters of Muldrow, OK and Bobby Hill of Muldrow, OK;

several great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Temple, her son: Chet Miles and her parents: Louise and Wylie Williams.

Cremation will be under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc and her cremains will be buried at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, OK. No services will be held at Bettye’s request.
