Funeral Service for Billy Ray Vann, 74, of Alma, Arkansas will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Zion Alma Baptist Church in Alma, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Roland, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on February 22, 1946 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Ollie Mae (Cole) Vann and Ocie Vann and passed away on March 11, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was an United States Army Veteran, a laborer and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

love of his life: Patricia Smith and her 3 children: Victor Pierce and Lisa of Conway, AR, Shirl Smith of Omaha, NE and Charles Smith, Jr. and Jackie of Ft. Smith, AR;

1 sister: Mary Ann Benton of Denton, TX;

2 nieces: Karen Benton Triplett of Roland, OK and Tamara Benton of Plano, TX;

1 nephew: Daren Benton of Arlington, TX;

best friend: Earl Owens of Alma, AR;

a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie and Ollie Mae Vann; and 1 brother, Roy Jean Vann.
