Funeral Service for Blakely Ray Smith, Sr., 86, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Funeral Service for Blakely Ray Smith, Sr., 86, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on February 1, 1935 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Jeffie Dee (Cotney) Smith and Watie Blakely Smith and passed away on October 10, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Linda Marlene (Tate) Smith on September 22, 1989 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, a retired Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, a Sallisaw City Firefighter and the Electric Superintendent for the City of Sallisaw for 10 years.

Survivors are:

wife: Linda of the home;

3 children: Steven Smith and Susan, Blakely Smith and Deanna, and Stacy House and Charles, all of Sallisaw, OK;

8 grandchildren: Jaden Pearson and Josh, Jensyn House, Seth Smith, Brylee Smith, Jessica Thompson and Austin, Hadlie Webster and Raymond, Jaylie Taylor and Shanna Smith;

8 great-grandchildren: Brexley Pearson, Baker Pearson, Hadlee Smith, Bostyn Thompson, Branxton Thompson, Brynlie Webster, Brycenn Webster and Evee Webster;

1 sister: Mary Sue Eslinger of Sallisaw, OK;

and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Linda Smith; and two brothers, Merle Smith and Paul Smith.

Active Pallbearers will be Oklahoma State Highway Patrolmen and Sallisaw City Firefighters.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hiawatha Newton, Nathan Honeycutt, Hobie Jones and Logan Gipson.

Viewing and Visitation will be 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
