Bobby D. Cartwright

Bobby D. Cartwright, age 71, passed away on December 16, 2024, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born on April 16, 1953, in Sallisaw to Ruth Ann (Cartwright) Spencer. He had a dedicated career as a heavy equipment operator for Sequoyah County District 3.

Bobby is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Nichols and her husband, Gordon, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and Teresa McCleod and her husband, Mark, of Muldrow, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his son, Brian Cartwright of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. In addition, he will be remembered by his six grandchildren: Jade Clark, Cheyenne Ferguson and Blayde, Harmony Cartwright, Jaycee Hanshew, Drayson Cartwright, and Blayze Cartwright. Bobby was a proud grandfather to three great-grandchildren: Howie Tex Ferguson, Rowdy Dewayne Ferguson, and Tate Ryan Ferguson. Bobby is also survived by his brother, Terry Spencer of Gans, Oklahoma; along with several other relatives and friends who cherished him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ann Spencer; four sisters: Brenda McHenry, Linda James, Sheila Long, and Sherry Spencer; and two brothers, Joseph Cartwright and James Dawes.

A cremation service for Bobby D. Cartwright is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
