He was born on September 6, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas to Opal Lucille (Prater) Hunter and Ott Amos Hunter and passed away on June 10, 2024 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was married to Shirley Ann Hunter on April 26, 1992 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on January 15, 2021. Bobby was retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Fort Smith, Arkansas and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors are two sons, Clayton Hunter of Vian, OK and Daniel Hunter and Janice of Vian, OK; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Hunter of Eufaula, OK and Benny Mauldin of Marysville, CA; three sisters, Charlene Barnes of Tulsa, OK, Sherry Morgan of Muskogee, OK and Lynn Stilwell of Marysville, CA; mother of his children, Minnie Hunter of Vian, OK; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife; parents; and two brothers, Ray Hunter and Amos Hunter.
Active Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
