He was born on August 30, 1941 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Iva Geraldine (Crawford) Risenhoover and Joe H. Risenhoover and passed away on July 9, 2018 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Velta Jean (Poindexter) Risenhoover on July 23, 1960 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver and of the Holiness faith.
Survivors are:
Wife: Jeanie of the home
2 sons and daughters in law: Bobby G. and Pam Risenhoover of Sallisaw, OK and
Douglas and Janene Risenhoover of Cushing, OK
1 daughter: Lisa Heaton of Sallisaw, OK
7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
2 sisters: Levurn Barker of Sallisaw, OK and Vicki Brewer of Sallisaw, OK
2 brothers and sisters in law: Jerry and Janie Risenhoover of Sallisaw, OK
and Dennis and Carla Risenhoover of Sallisaw, OK
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Iva Risenhoover and 2 sisters, Iva Dawson and Patricia Salyers
Active Pallbearers will be Michael Brewer, Joseph Risenhoover, David Barker, Derramy Bailey, Marty Campbell, and Tim Bailey.
Viewing will be Tuesday 2 – 8 pm and Wednesday 10 am – 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet Wednesday 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
