Graveside Service for Bob Starr, 88, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Bobby Doyle Starr, 88, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away Friday at his home. He entered his eternal home on January 15, 2021. Bob was born December 31, 1932, in Waldron, Arkansas, to Audie and Evelyn Starr. He was married to Patsy (Rice) Starr on August 31, 1957 in Poteau, Oklahoma. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy and the owner of Star Furniture Manufacturing Company and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and especially his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors are:

wife of 63 years: Patsy of the home;

2 daughters: Reecia Goodwin of Sallisaw, OK and Regina Southerland and Robert of Bokoshe, OK;

1 son: Robert Starr and Marilyn of Sallisaw, OK;

12 grandchildren: Amanda Lee, Nick Starr, Andrea Starr, Tammy Heckel, KEvin Horn, Alicia Goodwin, Chelsea Hogan, Emily Quickel, Shelby James, Scott Southerland, Jeremy Southerland and Stephen Southerland;

32 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren;

4 sisters: Glenda Pope of Waldron, AR, Emma Lou Green of Gravette, AR, Wanda Langston of Greenwood, AR and Shirley Bryant of Pocola, OK;

sister-in-law: Judy Starr of Waldron, AR;

other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Billy Don Starr and Elzie “Biggin” Starr; and his son-in-law, Paul Goodwin.

Active Pallbearers will be Ben Hogan, Nick Starr, Michael Lee, Kevin Horn, Chase Quickel and Conner James.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Southerland, Fisher Lee, Isaac O’Neal, Isaiah O’Neal, Frank Sumpter, Eli Stacy and E.J. Stacy.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
