Brenda Rose Lasiter

Brenda Rose Lasiter, age 73, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on February 22, 2025. Born on October 16, 1951, in Sallisaw, she was the daughter of Betty Rose (Benge) Haddox and Noble Edward Haddox. Brenda's life was intertwined with love and dedication, highlighted by her marriage to James Henry Lasiter on January 18, 1969. She cherished their time together until his passing on April 13, 2011.

Brenda was currently employed as a nursing instructor at Connors State College and formerly at University of Arkansas Fort Smith. In the past, she had served in many capacities of nursing. She was a dedicated home health and travel nurse. She also made a significant contribution by helping others at the county health department. She enjoyed flowers, her garden and found joy in reading. Above all, Brenda treasured the moments spent with her family, particularly with her grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Lora Coulter and husband Craig of Fort Smith, AR; her son, Nathan Lasiter and wife Sarah of Edmond, OK; and her eight beloved grandchildren: Sarah Logan Lasiter, Abby Lasiter, Samuel Coulter, Olivia Coulter, Paul Lasiter, Alex Lasiter, Nicolas Lasiter, and Aidan Lasiter. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Haddox of Sallisaw, OK; three sisters, Janet Irby and husband David of Texas, Joni Eads and husband David of Sallisaw, OK, and Andrea Harris and husband Andrew of Sallisaw, OK; three brothers, John Haddox and wife Nancy of Sallisaw, OK, Leonard Haddox and wife Elaine of Colorado, and Glen Haddox and wife Faith of England; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, her spouse, her son Eric Lasiter, and her sister Judi Vaughn.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing from 3 PM to 8 PM on Monday and 10 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will be present to greet guests from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, followed by burial at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

Active pallbearers will be John Haddox, Samuel Coulter, Paul Lasiter, Alex Lasiter, Nicolas Lasiter, and Aidan Lasiter.

Brenda's loving spirit and dedication to her family and profession will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
