Brenda Lea (Middleton) Moses

Funeral Service for Brenda Lea (Middleton) Moses, 69 of Redland community, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Redland Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 19, 1952 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Arlene (Ryan) Middleton and Raymond Middleton and passed away on December 28, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Jay Anderson Moses, Sr. on November 12, 1971 in Gans, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2016. Brenda was a graduate of Gans High School, a Christian and a homemaker. She was a prayer warrior, a beloved wife, mom, granny, sister, aunt, daughter, friend and second mom to many. Her grandkids were the light of her life! Selfless, loving and nurturing, she freely opened her heart and home to everyone. She loved as big as the sky and always thought the best of everyone, even when they didn’t deserve it. If someone hurt, she did too, and if someone doubted, she had enough faith for us all. She asked little, but gave everything. There will never be another one like her. Brenda was a beautiful soul who loved her family dearly, and though she would have like to have more time with them here on earth, Heaven called, and glimpsing its beauty, she gladly answered that call. Now she joins Jay, Jay-Jay, Shirley, Aubrey, and all her precious loved ones gone on before — what a glad reunion day! In life, she was alway busy, taking care of everyone but herself, now she can REST IN PEACE, having run her race, finished her course, and kept the faith. She will be forever loved and missed.

Survivors are:

Daughter: Shanna and Scott Harris of Van Buren, AR;

Grandchildren: Weston and Jaylynn Harris, both of the home and Aysha Harris of Fort Smith, AR;

Brother and sister-in-law: Burley and Cathy Middleton of Sallisaw, OK;

Sister-in-law: Fern Middleton of Redland community, OK;

Nieces and nephews: Ronda, Deana, Shawn, Stacey, Jennifer, Julie, Logan and Miranda;

Other nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay; son, Jay-Jay; brother, Aubrey Middleton; sister, Shirley Blake, and great-nephew, Joshua Blake.

Active Pallbearers will be Logan Middleton, Andy Blake, Joe DuVaul, Aron Lasiter, Archer Ryan and Joe Ryan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Shawn Blake, Melvin DuVaul, Monte Brunk, Mike Rhoads, Carl Gross, Rick Russell, Sean Hamby, Larry Calloway, Gary Linker and her grandchildren.

Viewing will be 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm.
