Bret was a great friend and running buddy of mine in high school and as we worked together at Blue Ribbon Downs. We went through a lot together, shenanigans and fun times. He will be missed.

I am saddened to learn of Brett's passing. We were both pretty heavily invested (at least emotionally) in the Fenn treasure hunt. We argued fiercely, but we argued pointlessly. A far better outcome than either of us knew would have been to sit together in the shade of a porch and to share a beverage of choice, while we compared notes and laughed at each other. My sincere condolences to his loved ones, and to his friends in the Chase community

I want to send my deepest condolences. Brett was a good friend that even after high school. I would visit on occasion. Brett was a ray of sunshine when he wanted to be and could be a pain in the butt when he wanted to be. Brett was a good friend and a good dad and he will be greatly missed I'm so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you I wish I could be there but unfortunately I'm in Massachusetts.

I am so sorry for your loss. Brett was one of a kind. Sarcastic but funny, and had a heart of gold. I first worked with at Blue Ribbon Downs when they first opened up for legal racing and then for years at OKFOODS. RIP Brett may you find the peace you’ve been looking for.

Bart , sending prayers to you and your family. I’ll miss seeing Bret around. I have lots of fond memories of our school days, and I’ve heard a lot more from people who knew you two twins! I’ll miss his sarcastic wit but always friendly Smile. He should still be here as he was too young and too cool. Prayers to all the family. Linda P. Class of 1984
