Calleen Kay (Runyon) Jones

Graveside Service for Calleen Kay Jones, 55, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Drakestand Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on August 18, 1965 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Barbara Jean (McClendon) Runyon and Herschel Ottis Runyon and passed away on August 15, 2021 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was married to James Delbert Jones on June 3, 1984 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She worked at Bear’s Cub House and also worked at Camille’s Kidz, Journey Church, Sallisaw Head Start and many other places. She loved her children. She never met a stranger and was always full of life. Calleen was a jokester and could brighten the darkest room with humor. She made an impression everywhere she went, whether at daycare or in everyday life. Calleen was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and a diehard Chiefs Fan.

Survivors are:

husband: James Delbert Jones of the home;

3 daughters: Amber Brown and Gene of Sallisaw, OK, Jamie Davis and Tyler of Collinsville, OK and Ashley Harris and Cody of Tulsa, OK;

7 grandchildren: Katelyn Looper, Gunnison Rutherford, Hunter Jones, Hadley Smith, Hayden Jones, Hendrix Davis and Alexa Harris;

father: Herschel Runyon of Kingman, KS;

2 sisters: Bridget Isenhower and Harold of Tecumseh, OK and Patty McHenry of Sallisaw, OK;

1 brother: Donny Curry and Clarissa of Sallisaw, OK;

father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jerry Haskell and Patsy Jones of Sallisaw, OK;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean Curry.

Active Pallbearers will be Gene Brown, Cody Harris, Tyler Davis, Billy McHenry, Ty McHenry and Harold Isenhower.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter Jones, Gunny Rutherford, Haden Jones, Hendrix Jones, Herschel Runyon and Donny Curry.

Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Saturday, 2 – 8 PM Sunday and 10 AM – 8 PM Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
