Calvin Lee Courtney

Funeral service for Calvin Lee Courtney, 74 of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 9, 1948 in Monticello, Arkansas to Beverly (Fondren) Courtney and Henry Calvin Courtney and passed away on April 26, 2023 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. He was married to Loretta Lucille (Gilbert) Courtney on Nov. 11 1966 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2012. Mr. Courtney was a monument setter and general laborer at different monument companies

Survivors are two daughters, Tina Odom and Jimmy of Muldrow, OK and Rhonda Butler and Gary of Muldrow, OK; one son, Calvin Lee Courtney II and Susie of South Dakota; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Anna Denny of Colcord, OK; three brothers, Paul Courtney of Roland, OK, Matthew Courtney of Colcord, OK and David Courtney of Colcord, OK; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one grandson: Joshua Courtney, and two brothers: Gary and Scott Courtney.

Active Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Viewing will be 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow where the family will greet 6 – 8.
