Carlos J. Short

Memorial service for Carlos J. Short, 82, formerly of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on October 5, 1936 in Keota, Oklahoma to Emma Gean (Chambers) Short and Carl Short and passed away on September 10, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Colleen (Dunkin) Short on May 25, 1957 in Stigler, Oklahoma. Mr. Short was in the grocery business for a number of years and a cattle rancher. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Muldrow, OK.

Survivors are:

wife: Colleen of the home;

1 daughter: Sherry Short Jones and Steve of Ft. Smith, AR;

3 sons: Steve Short and Cindy of Muldrow, OK, Jim Short and Robbie of Muldrow, OK and Greg Short and Mary of Muldrow, OK;

8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren;

1 sister: Sue Mott and Dale of Sallisaw, OK;

2 brothers: Bobby Short and Sandra of Kibler, AR and Jerry Short and Debbie;

numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 1 grandson: Jake Short, his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Active pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Chris Jones, Chris Short, Beau Short, Avery Short, Brad Short, Brandon Short and Brooke Hyde.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Ok where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm.
