Carol "Mema" Shamblin

Carol "Mema" Shamblin, 82, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away on December 31, 2024, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on October 7, 1942, in Fort Smith to Pearl Maxine (Stevenson) Irvine and Raymond Ford Hindman.

Carol was married to Carlos J.E. Shamblin, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1990. Carol was a grandmother and homemaker.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Reese-Davenport and her husband Rick of Fort Smith, AR, and Christina Martin of Roland, OK; one son, Jimmy Crow of Fort Smith, AR, and four grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Melissa, and Brandon, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, her parents, and three brothers: Doyle, Dale, and Keith Hindman.

A funeral service honoring Carol's life will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma, with burial to follow at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects during the viewing on Monday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the chapel, where the family will be present to greet visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
