Cremation services for Carol Taylor, 76 of Gans, Oklahoma will be under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on March 12, 1943 in Natural Dam, Arkansas to Lula (Small) Murphy and Chester Murphy and passed away on December 28, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Frank Taylor on November 13, 1975 in Sallisaw, OK. Mrs. Taylor was a retired medical clerk for Arkoma Nursing Home.

Survivors are:

1 daughter: Kristina Jones of Arkoma, OK;

2 sons: Dwayne Metcalf and Tammy of Nicut, OK and Franklin Taylor and Sandy of Gans, OK;

13 grandchildren: Kaylin, Kristy, Darren, Keisha, Brooke, Ethan, Bradley, Lily, Ely, Matt, Jena, Cassie and James and 17 great grandchildren;

adopted daughters: Tammy Murphy and Kathy Murphy Goodson;

several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Michael “Smitty” Schmidt; her parents: Chester Murphy and Lula and Wylie Cain, 1 sister: Donna Halverson and 3 brothers: Jimmy Murphy, Darrel Murphy and Roger Murphy.

Viewing will be 1- 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
