Funeral service for Carolyn (Martin) Massa, 76 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on September 29, 1946 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Beatrice (Risenhoover) Martin and Tommy James Martin and passed away on May 5, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Rufus Massa on August 18, 1982 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2018. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are two daughters, Polly Simpson of Sallisaw, OK and Lisa Evans of Sallisaw, OK; three sons, James McLinn of Muldrow, OK, Tommy Simpson of Sallisaw, OK and Brian Hollis of Muldrow, OK; two grandchildren, Daniel Evans and Tommy McLinn; six great-grandchildren, Wesley Evans, Skylyn Evans, Addisyn McLinn, Tommy McLinn, Jr., Jace McLinn and Trevor Lockwood; one sister, Peggy Martin of Sallisaw, OK; two brothers, Ronnie Martin of Sallisaw, OK and Danny Martin of Sallisaw, OK; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandchild, Michael Evans; and one brother, James Martin.

Active Pallbearers will be John McLinn, Wesley Evans, Daniel Evans, Kendall Marley, Trenton Martin and Justin Martin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Martin and Scooter Martin.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
