Funeral Service for Carolyn S. Townsend, 74, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on April 9, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Dora Mae (Puckett) Rotramel and Silas Benjamin Franklin “Buster” Adams and passed away on October 25, 2020 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was married to Hubert Dewane Townsend on November 20, 1964 in Miami, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors are:

husband: Hubert of the home;

2 sons: David Dewane Townsend and Kimberly of Ozark, MO and Johnathan Townsend and Marilynn of Alton, MO;

1 daughter: Amanda Cantrell and Jeffery of Muldrow, OK;

13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren;

1 sister: Janice Batt of Tulsa, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Caughman; grandson, David Dewane Townsend, Jr.; great-grandson, Owen Cantrell; parents; two sisters, Cartha Harrison and Lavon Adamson; and two brothers, Tim Adams and Jim Adams.

Active Pallbearers will be Aaron Cantrell, David Townsend, Matthew Townsend, Jacob Cantrell, Levi Townsend, Michael Magers, Josh Caughman and Thomas Ireland.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
