“We reflect and we remember …… Charles Edward Turner”

Mr. Charles E. Turner, after 60 years with us, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Cornerstone in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Charles, the third child of Georgia A. Turner and Lonnie Choate was born August 21, 1959 in Vian, Oklahoma.

Charles attended Vian Public School. He was employed as a Harvest laborer in Blythe/Stockton, CA; Racetrack laborer in Sallisaw, OK and county laborer in Vian, OK. His special interest included rodeo / bullriding, tinkering with and restoring old antique cars and boxing.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Choate; three brothers, Kenneth, Leonard and Leo Choate; and two very special women, Phyllis Ward and Donna Baker.

He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memory: his mother, Georgia (Babysis) Turner of Muskogee, OK; two daughters, Deyon L. Turner of Broken Arrow, OK and Kimberly C. Boatman of Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Charles Edward Baker and Lonnie Boatman both of Muskogee, OK; eight grandchildren, DeMarjia, Jakiiyah, Montell, Matayo, DaeMari, Justice, Cadyn, Camia of Muskogee and Broken Arrow, OK; three great grandchildren, DeMarjia, Zaeveon and Khali of Broken Arrow and Muskogee, OK; five sisters, Teresa A. Turner of Muskogee, OK, Jeraldine Turner-Wright (Mic) of Muskogee, OK, Sandra L. Hall (Gary) of Muskogee, OK, Valerie S. Turner (Al) of Muskogee, OK and Linda Flake of Ft. Smith, AR; one brother, Johnny L. Turner of Sallisaw, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Charles was loved and will be greatly missed. May God keep him in his loving arms until we meet again.
