He was born on January 25, 1939 in Redding, California to Alice (Nance) Hensley and James Hensley and passed away on May 3, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Charlotte (Goodwin) Hensley on August 18, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an iron worker.

Survivors are wife, Charlotte of the home; two daughters, Pam Bennett of Mounds, OK and Rhonda McCombs of Muldrow, OK; two grandchildren; four brothers; two sisters; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and David Hensley.
