Charles Rodgers

Cremation Service for Charles “Papa Chuck” Rodgers, 91, of Vian, Oklahoma is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 18, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ira and Bertha (Woolly) Rodgers and passed away on February 17, 2022 in Vian, Oklahoma. He was an architectural engineer, loved flying radio-controlled airplanes and also designed and built them. He was a music minister and a carpenter that built many homes. Papa Chuck loved camping, the lake, and RVing on a regular basis.

Survivors are:

Daughter, Colleen Locke and husband, Fred, of Columbus, OH;

Son, Kevin Rodgers and wife, Gwen, of Vian, OK;

2 Brothers, Jack Rodgers and wife, Tiu, of Detroit, MI and Tim Rodgers of Paragould, AR;

3 Grandchildren, Kayla Bosworth and husband, Kurt, of Columbus, OH, Michael Rodgers and wife, Shelby, of Idaho Springs, CO and Stephanie Rodgers of Vian, OK;

10 Great-Grandchildren, Olivia, Koryn, Ayden, Bryce, Lilly, Kaleb, Alondra, Brooklynn, Pamela and Leo;

and several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna A. (Williams) Rodgers in 2009; parents, Ira and Bertha Rodgers; step-mother, Wanda Rodgers; and one brother, Roy Rodgers.
