Charles Alvis Roe

Charles Alvis Roe, beloved son, husband, father, "Pawpaw" and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 68, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, on November 28, 2024. Charles was born on December 23, 1955, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Carol Jean (Lowder) Roe and Charles James Roe.

Charles found his true partner in life when he married Carlene Scott on July 2, 1976, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Together, they built a loving home, filled with laughter and warmth, and had two sons, Shane and Eric. As a retired Maintenance Engineer for Baldor Electric, he approached every task with dedication and pride, embodying the values of hard work and commitment. Charles was a devoted member of The Sallisaw Church of Christ and knew Jesus as his Savior.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carlene; two sons, Shane Roe and his wife, Holly, and Eric Roe and his wife, Dakota; his treasured granddaughter, Texi; and his mother, Carol Roe; along with numerous other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral service for Charles will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will take place at Maple Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Viewing will be from 2 - 8 PM on Sunday at the chapel in Muldrow, where the family will greet visitors from 3 - 5 PM.

Active pallbearers will include Kelly Gholston, Chad Hardin, Doug Cantrell, Jeff Tomlin, Ralph Becker and Ronnie Bedwell.

Charles will be remembered for his kindness, steadfastness, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew him.
