Clayton Ruark

Funeral service for Clayton Ruark, 85 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Dwight Mission Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Servie, Inc.

He was born on September 10, 1935 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Elsie Luvinia (Goodwin) Ruark and Charlie Harvey Ruark and passed away on May 8, 2021 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Suzy ( Lyon) Ruark on October 18, 1977 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 2002. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a retired Environmental Coordinator for Colt Industry and of the protestant faith. Clayton was a hardworking country boy who loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of his lawn. The family would like to give a special thanks to Complete Hospice Care for the wonderful care that was given to Clayton.

Survivors are:

3 sons: Les Ruark and Myla of Tulsa, OK, Greg Ruark and Angela of Sallisaw, OK and Kurt Ruark and Renita of Sallisaw, OK;

10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren:

1 brother: Allen Ruark of Platt City, MO;

several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzy; 1 son; John Shane Ruark; parents: Charlie and Elsie Ruark; 1 sister: Gracie Marie Pinson; 3 brothers: Loyd Dee Ruark, Autho Ruark and Frank Ruark.

Active pallbearers will be Kurt Ruark, Greg Ruark, Les Ruark, Stephen Ruark, Evan Byrd and Jesse Ruark.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Ruark, Kevin Ruark, Chris Ruark, Terry Swanner and Sean Ruark.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
