Obituaries

Funeral service for Dail Harmon Mott, 81 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Iron Bridge Cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on October 11, 1938 in Stoney Point, Oklahoma to Gaitha (Webb) Mott and Joseph Mott and passed away on May 23, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Lola (Sue) Short on June 4, 1958 in Stigler, Oklahoma. . Mr. Mott was manager for MFA Propane and inspector for Roy Darcy. He was a member and deacon of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

wife: Sue of the home;

1 daughter: Kimberly Zuendel of Sallisaw, OK;

1 son: Christopher Mott of Pocola, OK;

daughter in law: Christina Mott of Fort Smith, AR;

9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren;

1 brother: Dewey Mott and Betty of Hindsville, AR;

numerous other relatives, church family and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Larry and Gary Mott, his parents, 2 sisters: Wilma Birchfield and Mildred Bailey and 5 brothers: Melburn, Argust, R.J., Benjamin, and Dewayne Mott.

Active Pallbearers will be Wes Lashley, Regan Freeman, Tommy Coleman, Jay Alred, Cody Smith, Ben Spyres and David Short

Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm.
