Dale Holman

January 27, 1949 — November 27, 2020

Dale Holman was born at 2:43 P.M. on January 27th, 1949 at South Hoover Hospital in Los Angeles, California, to Hubert and Betty (Dockery) Holman, and passed away on November 27, 2020 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1967 and attended Conners State College in Warner Oklahoma.

Mr. Holman was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and co-owner/operator of Wildhorse Mountain Barbeque. He was married to Sandy (Sparks) Holman on January 27, 1970 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. January 27th, 2021 would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.

Dale Holman was an Air Force veteran, a wood carver, a knife maker, a business owner, a husband, a father, a grandfather (Poppy), a friend to so many, and a local legend. He loved to ride his motorcycle and considered himself the entertainment director of Wild Horse Mountain BBQ.

Dale will be remembered by many for the jokes and stories he told. He will be remembered by others for his kind heart and the love he had for his family. Dale never met a stranger. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and supportive husband and father. Dale was never happier than when his grandchildren were curled up next to him sitting in his recliner. He was one of a kind.

Dale loved to make people around him laugh. He considered a countless number of people as his friends and those people felt the same way towards him. If you knew Dale, you will remember his big smile and you will know that the world will be a little quieter without him. He will be greatly missed.
