Funeral Service for Dalton Dorothy Henson, 96, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Dalton Dorothy Henson, a life-long resident of Muldrow, Oklahoma, died Monday the 25th of July in Piedmont, Oklahoma. Dalton, or Granny, as many called her, loved people and helping others.

Born in 1925 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to A.D. and Effie Mae (Seaton) Fuller, Dalton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Northeastern State University in 1957. She continued her education at Northeastern State University with a Masters in Guidance and Counseling in 1963.

Dalton worked as a teacher in Belfonte and Liberty for nine years before moving to Muldrow Public Schools as the High School Counselor. She worked in Muldrow Schools serving the students and families of the community for over twenty years until her retirement.

Dalton loved serving in her community and she was an active member of Victory Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed visiting with friends whom she shared a lifetime of memories with. She loved her family and her family adored her. Dalton was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Jeff Ransom (Tori), Sheli McAdoo (Scot), Jason Floyd, Scott Henson, Kay Henson (daughter-in-law), Kyle Henson (Jaime) and Ty Wilson (Sasha). Dalton has several great-grandchildren, Joe Fate Ransom (Eryn), Jordan McAdoo, Sagely McAdoo (Logan), Brenly McAdoo, Dalton Floyd, Joshua Floyd and Rider Henson. She also has one great-great-grandchild, Ridge Ransom, and many nieces and nephews that she enjoyed.

Dalton was preceded in death by her husband, Fate Henson, Jimmy Dale Henson (son), Judy Storey (daughter), Edward Fuller (brother) and Ruby Fuller Pendergrass Logue (sister) as well as her parents.

Active Pallbearers will be Jeff Ransom, Jason Floyd, Joe Fate Ransom, Kyle Henson, Scot McAdoo and Jordan McAdoo.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Fuller, Roger Fuller, Charles Fuller, Scott Henson, Ty Wilson, Philip Henson, Mike Henson, Howard Henson, Larry Henson, Barry Henson, Rick Pendergrass and CG Henson.

Viewing will be 1 – 8 PM Saturday and 2 – 8 PM Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 3 – 5 PM Sunday.
