Dana Slate

Celebration of Life Service for Dana Slate, 66, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at People, Inc. Conference Center, 205 North J T Stites Street, Sallisaw, Oklahoma 74955.

Dana Slate passed away on December 22, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 8, 1958, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Darlis June (Lowe) Walters and Jesse Kenneth Hood.

Dana enjoyed her career as a bookkeeper for National Bank of Sallisaw before her retirement. She is survived by her two daughters, Stefanie Holmes and Joseph of Muldrow, OK, and Chrissy Lankford of Sallisaw, OK. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren: Cody, Ciara, Tyler, Madison, Brendly, McKenzie, James II, and Jayden; along with five great-grandchildren: Allister, Ava, Tommy, Adelyn, and Maia June.

Dana is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Hood and Bobbi of Sallisaw, OK; and her sister, Deana Philpot of Sallisaw, OK. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who cherished her.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Sophia, and her parents, Kenneth Hood and June Walters.

Cremation services for Dana Slate are under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
