Darrell Eugene Vix, retired Brent Fire Department Chief, 84, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away on November 28, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born on December 23, 1932 in Ellendale, North Dakota to Viola Vix and Otto Vix. He was married to Margalo (Gibbs) Vix on November 28, 1970 in Oakland, California. He was a Retired Brent Fire Department Chief and U.S. Air Force Veteran of Korea.

Survivors are:

3 daughters: Maureen Scavo of Fremont, CA, Michelle Fletcher of Sonora, CA, and Kathy Hoselton of Ceres, CA

1 son: Scott Vix of Fairfield, CA

4 grandsons: Mike (Tony) Scavo, Brian Vix, Jake Hoselton, and Loyd Hoselton

3 great grandchildren: Raygan, Rylee, and Levi Scavo of Sallisaw, OK

1 brother: Ken Vix of Ecuador

Niece: Roxanne Cline of Livermore, CA

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margalo Vix; parents, Otto and Viola Vix; and 1 sister, Roma Ferguson
