David Lee Chase

Funeral service for David Lee Chase, “Davo”, “Dubbs”, 69 of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 14th at First Assembly of God Church in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. Burial will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 15th at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on February 2, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Virginia Ann (Childers) and Fred Lee Chase and passed away on June 9, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was married to Debra Kay (Owens) Chase on September 5, 1995 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Chase graduated from Midwest City High School in 1972 where he was a member of the first state wrestling championship for the school. He also taught youth wrestling. He started working in the construction field when he was 16 and continued until age 64. David owned his own construction and remodeling company for ten years and was a state licensed home inspector.  More recently, he served as Mayor and City Council member of Webbers Falls. He and his wife, Debra were members of First Assembly of God Church in Webbers Falls. David’s faith and church were an essential part of his life. He was a faithful man who loved the Lord, his family, friends and community. He was a true believer in Christ as our Savior! Although David has many family members waiting for him on the other side, he always said he couldn’t wait to see Jesus’ face first.  David will be remembered for his smile, laughter and easy going attitude and for using redneck slang like “a fixin to”, “hemi” and “light a far”.  He was an avid fisherman who loved his grandchildren more than anything and loved telling corny jokes to them. He was looked upon as a father figure by many of his children’s friends and was known as Papa Chase or “Papa Whiskers” by their children.

Survivors are his loving wife of 27 years, Debra of the home;

six children, Holly Faught of Midwest City, OK, Robyn Lay and Jason of Lexington, OK, Dallas Chase and Erica of Walhalla, SC, Jeremy Dodd and Jessica of Bethel, OK, Christopher Dodd and Shannon of Moore, OK, and Kerri Finley and Chris of Jones, OK;

15 grandchildren, Isabel and Delaneigh of Norman, OK, Layton and Peyton of Moore, OK, Kaylee of Moore, OK, Zoie of Midwest City, OK, Jackson and Lily of Oklahoma City, OK, Kaedynce and Cason of Bethel, OK, Macie and Mallorie of Jones, OK, Alyssa, Ethan and Everett of South Carolina;

three siblings, Mike Chase of Midwest City, OK, Nikki Chase Valle of Denton, TX and Harold Hannah and Erica of Edmond, OK;

and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Daryl Faught.

Pallbearers for the Webbers Falls service will be Lynn Wright, Wes Ready, Jim Taylor, Troy Bell, Maddux Shelby and Farren Miller.

Pallbearers for the Harrah service will be Rick Hall, Paul Hurst, Rod Whorton, Dutch Albert, Robert Finley and Freddie Loya.

Viewing will be  10 am – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore.
