David Jan "Tate" Taylor

Funeral Service for David Jan "Tate" Taylor, 62 of Marble City, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Dwight Mission Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on January 24, 1962 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Mary Jane (Locust) Noel and David Gene Taylor and passed away on July 13, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Taylor worked numerous jobs including construction, pipe fitter, handy man, oil field and journeyman work. 

Survivors are two daughters, Katrenia and Raven; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; companion, Sherry Mitchell; one sister, Missy Flute and John of Marble City, OK;  one brother, Bobby Taylor of Marble City, OK; and several other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Taylor.

Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Billy John Christie, Watie Choate and Leslie Choate. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Christie, Shawn Taylor, Mike Lander, Rex Taylor, Jimmy Dean McInerney, Mike Rodriguez and George Christie. 

Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 - 8 pm.
