David Lee Wright, age 75, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on January 16, 2025. Born on June 29, 1949, in Lawton, Oklahoma, he was the son of Wynona (Rogers) Wright and David Wright. David's life was characterized by his unwavering dedication to family, education, and service to his country.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, David served his nation with honor before embarking on a notable career in education that spanned over three decades. His passion for teaching took him through the halls of Sallisaw Public Schools, where he positively impacted the lives of many students through his work in Special Education, Math, and History. After retiring from his profession, he continued to serve his fellow veterans at the Veterans Administration, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to helping others.

On July 30, 1975, David married Vickie Gail (Oliver) Wright in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Together, they created a loving home that nurtured their four daughters, Kim Sheffield and James, Brandi Wright, Nicole Cox and Nick, and Kaci Klinecole and Austin, all who reside in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. David is also survived by his son, Cameron Wright and Blayke of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

He is remembered by his family and friends, with a legacy of kindness and strength. 

David was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Corma Hayes.

The cremation service for David Lee Wright is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
