Funeral service for Deborah I. “Debbie” Mannon, 68 of Gore, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gore, Oklahoma with Bishop Aaron Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Stevenson Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Friends may sign Mrs. Mannon’s book at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK 4 – 8 pm Friday, 10 am – 8 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday.

She was born on May 24, 1951 in Tacoma, Washington to Mary Colleen (Carter) Anderson and Robert Russell Anderson, Jr. and passed away on December 31, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Debbie was raised an Air Force brat and traveled near and far with her parents for 15 years. She graduated from Gore High School in 1969. On April 4, 1969, she married Dale Mannon in Gum Springs, OK. During their 50 years of marriage, they traveled with the Air Force for 24 years and spent 12 years in Germany. Debbie received an Associates Degree from Connors State College and went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Northeastern State University in 1996. She worked as a Child Welfare Social Worker for State of Oklahoma DHS in the Sequoyah County office and helped to rescue several children throughout her career. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gore, OK. She enjoyed working in the young women’s program with the church. She was a member of MADD – Mothers Against Drunk Driving and various church youth groups around the globe. Debbie was a soccer coach, baseball mom, a giver and someone who wanted to spread her love. She enjoyed sewing and needlepoint and once sewed a yellow plaid pantsuit and sent a photo of herself modeling it to Dale while he was stationed in Thailand.

Survivors are:

husband: Dale of the home

1 daughter: Amber Woods of the home;

3 sons: Tim Mannon and Dawn Miller of Broken Arrow, OK, Brad Mannon and Alayna Grady of Corvallis, OR and Jonathan Mannon and Marc Robinson of Brooklyn, NY;

4 grandchildren: Max Mannon, Shane Mannon, Dylan Grady and Christian Woods;

5 great grandchildren;

1 brother: Gary Anderson of Gore, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 1 son: Robert Lloyd “Bobby” Mannon and parents: Robert and Colleen Anderson.

Active Pallbearers will be Brad Mannon, Jonathan Mannon, Marc Robinson, Joel Hubler, Randy Mannon and Aaron Clearly.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Anderson, Christian Woods, Gary Cohen and Jack Boney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a child welfare benefit of your choice or American Cancer Society.
