Debra Dianne James McDonald

Graveside Service for Debra Dianne James McDonald, 69, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Debra Dianne James McDonald went home to meet her heavenly father on April 15, 2024 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. 

Debbie was born in Garberville, California on January 7, 1955 to Hampton Daniel and Betty Jo Deaton James. Debbie and her siblings were raised up out in the country in Shady Point, Oklahoma living close to their cousins and attended all 12 years at Panama Schools, graduating in 1973. When not baby sitting her younger brother and sister, she enjoyed working at her Dad and Mom's Conoco Station in Shady Point. After graduating, she worked at several jobs. She was a waitress at a Mexican Restaurant in Shady Point, she worked at the American Foundry in Fort Smith and also at Fort Chaffee in the Migration and Naturalization Department when the Vietnamese Immigrants came to the United States. Debbie worked three years at Whirlpool where she met her widowed husband, Wayne. She then became a stay at home Mom for her step-daughters, Paula and Lisa. Debra and Wayne were married years and resided in Muldrow for years. She was a member of the Muldrow Nazarene Church for many years where she once taught Sunday School. She worked as a baby sitter at home, Muldrow Kiddie Korner Day Care and then Muldrow Schools as a cook for 22 years, so she could be off when her kids were out of school. Two of her favorite jobs were not only working at school, but working at Patterson's Grocery, where she made so many wonderful friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Lisa McDonald; grandparents, Cornelius James and Maxine James; nephew, Johnny James; and her uncle, Dale James; and aunt, Betty James.

Survivors included are her husband, Wayne of Muldrow, OK; one daughter, Paula Kay Scott and husband Donald of Booneville, AR.; son Timothy Wayne McDonald of Muldrow, OK; siblings, Beverly Killian and husband Harry of Shady Point, OK, Gary James of Shady Point, OK, Danny James of Panama, OK, Janie Sims of Shady Point, OK, and Bryan Keith James and wife Erin of Durant, OK; grandchildren, April Scott Ralston and husband Brian of Pecos, TX, Eric Scott and wife Erin of Booneville, AR, Ricky Scott and wife Delayne of Booneville, AR, Christopher Kane Neissl of Charleston, AR, and Kaden James McDonald of Charleston, AR; great-grandchildren, Kara Leighann Scott of Booneville, AR, McKenzie Dianne Ralston and Matthew Ralston of Pecos, TX, and Theodore Scott of Booneville, AR; great-great-grandchild, Deimos Allyn Scott of Booneville, AR; close cousins, Patricia James Donathan of Shady Point, OK, Ramona James Reed of Mountainburg, AR, Ruth James Burrows of Edmond, OK, and Robert James of Shady Point, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles that were close to her heart, along with other relatives and very close friends.

Active Pallbearers will be J.D. Armstrong, Jamie Armstrong, Jerry Cooper, Tony Watkins, Danny James and Bryan James.  

Viewing will be 10 AM - 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 - 8 PM.  

In lieu of flowers, balloons will be released at the end of the service.

Donations may be made to the Muldrow Nazarene Church or by adopting a rescue animal in a forever loving home which was dear to her heart.
