He married Karen Sue (Mulligan) Ruark on January 27, 1972 at Hanson Baptist Church. He graduated from Central High School in 1969 and was a truck driver.

1 son: Jesse Ruark and wife, Denise, of Sallisaw, OK;

1 daughter: Kacy Ruark Sanders and husband, Dewayne, of Jefferson City, MO;

5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter: Peyton, Matthew and Hudson Ruark and Mason, Millie and Mack Sanders;

brother: David Ruark and wife, Kathy, and their son, James Ruark;

1 sister: Carol Ruark and her son, Terry Swanner, and daughter, Sarah Richardson;

nephew: John Robert Ruark and wife, Amber;

numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Ruark.
