Funeral Service for Dixie Marvelene (Clapp) Willoughby, 92, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Marble City Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on May 15, 1928 in Sequoyah County to Lela Edna (Roberts) Clapp and Henry Hartsell Clapp and passed away on June 22, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Charlie E. Willoughby on March 28, 1947 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1962. She was a caregiver at a nursing home, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are:
son: Stan Willoughby and Katy of Enid, OK;
3 daughters: Tenny Holcombe and Chuck of Ft. Smith, AR, Gwendolyn Willoughby of Ft. Smith, AR and Charlene Auprey and Ed of Ft. Smith, AR;
8 grandchildren: Melanie Mayhall, Sondra Diel, Eric Wade Merrell, Laurie Wolfe, Jennifer Ridge, Matthew Wilbourn, Jessica Cunningham and Jacob Auprey;
10 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kassidy, Kaitlynn, Emily, Caroline, Porter, Sutton, Emerson, Nolan and Maddux;
1 great-great grandchild: Grant.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and twin sister, Carlene Ford.
Active Pallbearers will be Jacob Auprey, Thomas Cunningham, Ed Auprey and Chuck Holcombe.
Viewing will be Noon – 8 PM Thursday and 10 AM – 8 PM Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK.
