Dolores (Deloise) Jeanne Harrison, 83, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on April 14, 2020 at Swedish Medical Center. Born on April 21, 1936 in Vian, Oklahoma, she was the youngest daughter of Charles Hicks and Mattie Elizabeth (Day) Fields.

Jeanne grew up in the country outside of Vian and Marble City. She always had many friends and was considered strikingly pretty, friendly and very smart. She and all her sisters took pride in being “one of the Fields’ girls,” and they were very respected in their community.

Jeanne attended Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma and graduated from Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 1956. She later worked as a personnel manager for the United States government for 20 years, taking her from Denver, Colorado to Amarillo, Texas to Washington DC, where she retired from federal service in 1999.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, taking long walks and reading. Jeanne will be remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to her family, of which she had great pride. She strove to and succeeded in instilling an appreciation for the importance of education and independence in her children and grandchildren.

Jeanne will be sadly missed by her children Linda Harrison, Charles Harrison, Mike Harrison, and Sandra Harrison, her four grandchildren Janna, Dylan, Connor and Kayleigh and great-grandson Gunnar. She is also survived by one sister, Ruth Bernice Terronez and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 7 sisters and one brother: Mattie Elizabeth, Charline Vetoria, Elenor May (Nellie), Katherine Jane, Bettie Lou, Helen Inez, and Georgie Lynn, and John Allen.

Visitation will be conducted on Monday April 27, 2020 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She will be buried at Dwight Mission Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma at 1:00 pm on the same day, with a memorial celebration to be held at a later date.
