Funeral Service for Don Carroll Laster, 83, of Muldrow, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 13, 1939 in Paw Paw Community in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma to Marie Pearl (Shackelford) Laster and Fred Milton “Buck” Laster and passed away on March 14, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was a retired farmer and former Deputy Sheriff for Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department. He was a beloved and well known face at R&S Salvage for many years and will be missed terribly.

Survivors are four daughters, Tammy Sparkman and Mitch of Muldrow, OK, Candy Roberts and Dwayne of Muldrow, OK, Chana VanNice and Alan of Castle Pines, CO and Miranda Matlock and Tony of Muldrow, OK; son, Christopher Laster of Muldrow, OK; 10 grandchildren, Beau Sparkman, Kelsey Miller, Raegan McGee, Daxx Roberts, Drew Roberts, Blain VanNice, Braw VanNice, Zeak Matlock, LaTreace Matlock and Amber Matlock; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Sue Rollins of Oklahoma City, OK; and several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Janice Thompson and Sharon Kay Sampson; and one brother, Buck Jr. Laster.

Active Pallbearers will be Tony Matlock, Zeak Matlock, Christopher Laster, Randall Weaver, Daxx Roberts and Beau Sparkman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mitch Sparkman, Dwayne Roberts, Alan VanNice, Drew Roberts, Blain VanNice and Brae VanNice.

Viewing will be 10 AM – 8 PM Thursday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM.
