Services for Donald Charles Jackson, 88 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10 am on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on September 9, 1929 in Brent community, Oklahoma to Pearl (Mainus) Jackson and Ernest Bud Jackson and passed away on August 23, 2018 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Versie Belle Richardson Jackson on June 3, 1959 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on December 31, 2012. Mr. Jackson was a bagger at St. Clair Lime Company for 35 years, a farmer and coal worker.

Survivors are:

4 daughters and 3 sons in law: Sherry Payne of Sallisaw, OK, Melba and Wilson Moore of Sallisaw, OK, Kim and JR Branham of Sallisaw, OK and Terri and Kenny Oren of Sallisaw, OK

1 son: Donny Jackson of Sallisaw, OK

11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren

2 sisters: Thelma Curry of Sallisaw, OK and Betty Ann Lazarkiewicz

3 brothers: Billy Jackson of Muldrow, OK, Keith Jackson of Stigler, OK and Johnny Jackson of California

He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter: Donna Jackson, parents and several brothers and sisters

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Holt, Jonathon Holt, Tyler Moore, John Branham, Skylar Oren and Zac Reed.

Viewing will be 3 – 8 pm Friday, 10 am – 8 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, where the family will greet 4 – 6 pm Sunday.
