He was born on January 17, 1944 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Okla (Qualls) Walters and Columbus Walters and passed away on April 3, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a retired construction worker, U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors and loved fishing. He spent a lot of time on the river until his health failed.

Survivors are:

4 grandchildren: Jonathan Glover, Ashley Glover, Destany Walters and Autumn Walters;

1 brother: Jim Walters and Linda of Vian, OK;

4 sisters: Dorothy Wilson of Vian, OK, Dolly Poteete of Vian, OK, Ruby and Raymond Pigeon of Vian, OK and Brenda Stem of Ft. Smith, AR;

several great-grandchildren and other nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by 1 son, Dale Walters; 1 daughter, Dena; parents; 1 sister, Patsy West; and 3 brothers, Edward, Johnny and Melvin Walters.
