Graveside service for Donnie Ray Cox, 71 of Brent community, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Brent Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on May 5, 1951 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Dorthie May (Krysel) Cox and Cherry Cox and passed away on February 10, 2023 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Judy Cox on August 17, 1990 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2012. Mr. Cox was a 1969 graduate of Gans High School and a dredge master. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are daughter, Tammy Horn and Chris of Sallisaw, OK; son, Cherry Logan Cox of Sallisaw, OK; two sisters, Beverly Cox of Sallisaw, OK and Debra McCurry of Sallisaw, OK; three brothers, Danny Cox and Sharon of Sallisaw, OK, Bill Cox and Cynthia of Sallisaw, OK and Mark Cox and Sonia of McCurtain, OK; nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one son, Clinton Cox and one brother, James Cox.
Viewing will be 2 – 8 pm Sunday and 9 am – 8 pm Monday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Monday.
